Native Americans? You will never guess where are these people from
Take a close look at the people in this series of remarkable photographs. Where would you guess they were taken? 9 out of 10 people say that they are probably Native Americans somewhere in North or South America. Their colorful traditional clothes, the hair style, the faces.
While there’s no doubt that they are beautiful and warm people, they are definitely not from America. Scroll down, take another guess. The answer is below the photos.
Where are they from?
The Answer: Tibet!
These photos were taken in the Xiahe County in Northern China, on the border of Tibet. The people are villagers from Tibet who come to the market in the city.
Why do they look so much like Native Americans? Some would argue that there is a genetic connection from ancient times. Others would seek to find other national similarities between Native Americans and Tibet people to earn political points in an international debate. Guessing wildly, there used to be a land bridge between Eastern Asia and North America.
In any case, the cultural similarities, including hair style and clothing, are simply amazing. If this is not a coincidence, then it means these people kept traditions for hundreds of years.
